Healthy eating

Small changes to your diet can make a big difference to your overall health and wellbeing.
The following three steps can lead​ to a healthy diet and ensure you are giving your body all the nutrients it needs:
  • eat five portions of fruit and vegetables per day
  • cut down on foods with high levels of sugar, fat and salt
  • aim for a balanced diet which includes all the five main food groups.

Keeping fit

Regular exercise is vital for promoting a sense of wellbeing and improving and sustaining good health. The good news is there are lots of cheap ways you can stay fit and healthy like going for a walk or jog, doing housework, walking the dog or even dancing!

Quitting smoking

Everybody has their own reasons for wanting to stop smoking. Some people give up as part of a larger lifestyle change. They may want to be healthier, get fit, or save money. For others, it’s more about how their smoking affects the people around them – their family, friends and especially their children.
