Lewisham is a vibrant borough with so much great work being done by health and care professionals but the pressures on our services are greater than ever, so getting it right for our residents has never been more vital.

I am excited to be working with GP practices, other providers and the local authority to improve the care we offer the people of Lewisham.

I am very grateful to my predecessor Marc for his hard work as Chair and leadership of our Governing Body”.

Martin Wilkinson, Managing Director at NHS Lewisham CCG said: We are very pleased that Faruk will be taking the helm at Lewisham CCG. We have worked with Dr Majid for many years and I am very much looking forward to working with him in his new role. I would also like to pay tribute to everything that Dr Marc Rowland has achieved for the people of Lewisham over the last few years, along with his strong support for the CCG's management team.
