Happy Heads Festival at SLAM
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) is hosting their first ever ‘Happy Heads’ festival this summer. It is an event dedicated to promoting the ‘five ways to well-being’ among local teenagers.
The festival will be held on 26 July, from 12-4pm at the ORTUS Maudsley Learning and Events Centre, 82 - 96 Grove Lane, Denmark Hill SE5 8SN.
It is backed by Maudsley Charity and supported by Young Minds and Maudsley Learning and will use the themes ‘give’, ‘take notice’, ‘learn’, ‘be active’ and ‘connect’. The festival is for teenagers of all ages, free to attend and offering a variety of interesting workshops, including;
Live music and DJ workshop run by Raw Material
Challenges and activities run by Millwall Football Club
Creative writing workshop with Annette Kellow
Spoken word workshop with iamGreeds
Photography workshop with PhotoVoice
Volunteering inspiration with Time Banking UK
Discussion on key teen topics with Young Minds
There will also be prizes including a creative writing shop provided by the Guardian Masterclass team.
