Your chance to help shape the long term plan for the NHS

On the 18 June 2018, the Prime Minister set out a funding settlement for the NHS in England for the next five years. The NHS has been asked to put together a long term plan for the future of the NHS by autumn, this plan will set out our ambitions for improvement over the next ten years and our plans to meet them over the five years of the funding settlement.

The Prime Minister and Simon Stevens, NHS Chief Executive has asked the NHS to develop the plan with advice and experience of people working within the NHS such as clinical experts and staff as well as patients and the public. This is an opportunity for all those people who rely on and work in or alongside the NHS to give their ideas and insights for the plan. NHS England has created a discussion guide for staff, clinicians, patients and the public to have their say on the different aspects of the plan. An easy read version of the guide is available

You can respond to every topic or just the ones that are important to you or the group you represent. Where possible NHS England encourages organisations to collate responses from their members into a single submission.

This is your chance to help shape the long term plan for the NHS, please submit your responses to: http://www.engage.england.nhs.uk/consultation/developing-the-long-term-plan-for-the-nhs/

The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2018
