Neighbourhood Communities Development Partnership Meeting

NCDP pic1.jpgLewisham NDCPs (Neighbourhood Communities Development Partnership) met again in July. The NCDPs bring together Lewisham community groups and health and care partners to jointly develop local health and wellbeing priorities. They provide a unique opportunity to share learning and networking and promote the voice of the community.

There are 4 neighbourhoods in Lewisham, each of them with a local partnership which meets four times per year.

The NCDPs have jointly agreed the priorities for their area and specific funding from Public Health is available to tackle them. Applications are open till 10 September: for an application pack with priorities for your neighbourhood, please email

Lewisham NCDPs are a really useful platform for us to engage with our communities and connect directly with the different groups. At the meetings we joined in July we heard the latest updates on the current NCDP projects funded by Public Health, and other community updates, including training and events. We took the opportunity to promote the recruitment of members of our Public Reference Group, and discuss cancer promoting the ‘Be Clear on Cancer’ campaign which focuses on kidney and bladder cancer. We also heard of the Lewisham Sugar Smart campaign and how Lewisham residents and businesses can support it.NCDP pic2.jpg
