NHS Lewisham, Lambeth and Southwark Clinical Commissioning Groups are recruiting for a Registered Nurse, Governing Body Member

 

Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Governing Bodies play a crucial part in the governance and decision-making of the organisation.  The Registered Nurse position is a statutory role that will provide the particular professional perspective on health and care issues to underpin the work of the CCG especially the contribution of nursing to patient care.

Appointment to this role is being undertaken jointly for the NHS Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham CCGs.

The role of the Nurse member will be to:

  • Ensure the governing body and the wider CCG acts in the best interests with regard to the health of the local population at all times.
  • Ensure the interests of patients and the community remain at the heart of discussions and decisions.
  • Ensure the Governing body and the wider CCG behaves with the utmost probity at all times
  • Bring an independent view of the work of the CCG that is removed from the day to day running of the organisation.

The remuneration for this post will be set on appointment and will be £11 000 p.a. Members are also eligible to claim allowances for travel and subsistence costs incurred necessarily on CCG business.

Applicants cannot be an employee or member (including shareholder) of, or a partner in, a provider of primary medical services, or a provider with whom the CCG has made commissioning arrangements.
